DESCRIPTION:The Council acts to:\n\n\nPromote the County’s equal business opportunity program(s).\nStudy and advise the Board of County Commissioners on methods to enhance the County’s equal business opportunity program\, including input on the County’s website access and information for businesses.\nEndeavor to develop a list of contacts in order to work with agencies and organizations involved in aiding and promoting local\, small\, women-owned and minority business enterprises.\nWork with the state of Nevada’s entrepreneurial office to identify new businesses.\nProvide an annual report to the Board of County Commissioners regarding the activities of the council. Such report may be in person.\n\n\nThe Council members also support the Small Business Opportunity Program (SBOP). Qualifying individuals who apply and are selected will serve two-year terms on the Council. Members are appointed by the Board of County Commissioners and may be approved to serve consecutive terms. The Council meets at the discretion of the chairman of the BDAC\, but not less than once per quarter.

DESCRIPTION:Helping Your Business Shine\n\nClark County benefits from a diverse population which is 38% Black\, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) with in the unincorporated areas and 31% within incorporated cities\, and Clark County recognizes its duty to the BIPOC communities and women in business. BDAC serves to facilitate the growth of disadvantaged businesses throughout the county by promoting equal business opportunity programs\, advising the Board of County Commissioners on methods to provide more equitable access to vital business information and reporting to the Board annually about council activities. BDAC also partners with Nevada’s entrepreneurial office to identify new businesses and opportunities. \nBDAC is composed of qualified volunteers selected by the Board of County Commissioners. Members serve two-year terms\, with the potential for consecutive terms.
