SUMMARY:Business Planning for New Healthcare Entrepreneurs
DESCRIPTION:Point of Contact: Lisa Tolliver \nProgram Format: Online Meeting (Live)\nTraining Topics: Business Start-up/Preplanning\, Managing a Business\nDescription: \n\nBusiness Planning for New Healthcare Entrepreneurs \nJoin us for an enlightening webinar on “Business Planning for New Healthcare Entrepreneurs\,” featuring a seasoned physician\, Dr. Hakimi\, who has successfully navigated the entrepreneurial landscape. Discover the intricacies of launching and managing a private practice with a membership-based care model\, as she shares her firsthand experiences and strategies. Learn how to effectively market your practice\, manage finances\, and ensure regulatory compliance without relying on traditional insurance frameworks. This session will provide practical tips on setting up your practice\, from selecting the right location to optimizing patient care and engagement. \nWhether you’re just starting or looking to pivot your existing practice\, this webinar offers actionable advice to help you succeed. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from local succesful healthcare entrepreneur and take your business planning skills to the next level. Let’s continue the conversation and journey towards more patient-centered practices in Nevada. \nDr. Ati Hakimi MD graduated from Northwestern University residency in Family Medicine and did an extra year of training in Geriatric Medicine at Rush University Medical Center. She has practiced medicine for over 20 years.\nShe moved to Las Vegas in 2016 and immediately knew she was home. She was chosen for Leadership Las Vegas Class of 2018 and that is where she found her tribe to motivate her to make a difference in the city. She was very disheartened to know that Las Vegas was number 47 in the nation in healthcare. So\, with the support of her life long leadership friends and her family\, she started Vegas Direct Primary Care. \nShe now practices medicine as she has always dreamed of! She is able to provide compassionate\, quality care to all her members and treats them as if they are a part of her own family. Her practice is equivalent to the Netflix of Healthcare\, a low and affordable flat monthly fee which gives her members all access to a physician! \nCheck out her website at https://vegasdpc.com/.

SUMMARY:Addressing Child Care and Elder Care Challenges
DESCRIPTION:Description\n\nReception | 9 – 9:30 a.m. \nEvent | 9:30 – 11 a.m. \nThe Lincy Institute is pleased to host a community forum examining the economic and societal impact of the “care economy” in Southern Nevada in collaboration with TrippUmbach\, a nationally recognized consulting firm that provides comprehensive services including research and strategic plans to further the operations and activities of healthcare services. \nCentral to the care economy is elder care and child care. SUMMARY:Branding vs. Selling: Which One to Do (and When)
DESCRIPTION:About this event\n\n\nEvent lasts 1 hour\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe world’s most successful brands have two secrets to exponential growth: \n1) The great brands were not built by an army of salespeople\, and\n2) Powerful brands can “sell” less to drive revenue because their brands have already done the heavy lifting. \nTo clarify\, great brands already have customers “pre-sold” and ready to buy: no need to “sell” them. \nMaster this distinction\, and you’re way ahead of your industry. \nWhat do you want your business to be known for? It’s a question founders often ask themselves as they look to strengthen communications— not just with customers\, but also with stakeholders and channel partners. \nWhile it can be easy to focus on what you do\, it’s the ‘why’ behind your work that fosters deeper connections with your target audience. That’s why understanding when to focus on branding versus selling is crucial to ensure your value proposition resonates at the right moment in the buyer (or user) journey! \nThe Nasdaq Center is delighted to be joined by David Brier\, Bestselling Author of Brand Intervention and top-ranked rebranding expert\, to explore the distinct roles that branding and selling play and learn when to use each one to strengthen customer and stakeholder relationships and drive results. Drawing from four decades of brand building experience\, David will demonstrate how putting care for customer needs at the center of your brand will naturally result in stronger sales outcomes. Join us to gain insight into the key differences between branding and selling\, what makes branding a separate effort from marketing\, and how you can leverage each at the right time to connect with the right people! \nKey Takeaways: \n\nMaster how (and when) to brand for maximum impact and ROI\n\n\nUnderstand the major shift (and the terrain) that’s changed how (and when) we all make purchasing decisions\n\n\nLearn the role of “intentionality” in building your brand that will elevate you from the options in the market

SUMMARY:Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) Reporting - What you need to know
DESCRIPTION:In 2021\, Congress enacted the bipartisan Corporate Transparency Act to curb illicit finance. This law requires many companies doing business in the United States to report information about who ultimately owns or controls them to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN)\, which is part of the U.S. Treasury. \nBeginning on January 1\, 2024\, many companies in the United States will have to report information about their beneficial owners\, i.e.\, the individuals who ultimately own or control the company. \nCompanies that are required to comply (“reporting companies”) must file their initial reports by the following deadlines: \n\nExisting companies: Reporting companies created or registered to do business in the United States before January 1\, 2024 must file by January 1\, 2025.\nNewly created or registered companies: Reporting companies created or registered to do business in the United States in 2024 have 90 calendar days to file after receiving actual or public notice that their company’s creation or registration is effective. Beginning in 2025\, newly created or registered companies will have 30 days.\n\nWebinar \nJoin us this week as we host Phil Lam from FinCEN\, to learn more about the BOI reporting requirements\, exemptions\, how and where to file your report\, and a walk-through of the filing process. We will have time for audience Q&A as well. \nGuest Speaker \nPhil Lam | Beneficial Ownership Operation and Innovation Chief\, FinCEN \nPhil Lam leads the effort to enhance transparency of corporate ownership for the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN)\, a bureau of the U.S. Department of the Treasury. FinCEN safeguards the U.S. financial system by investigating money laundering\, terrorism financing\, and other financial crimes. With over 15 years of experience\, Phil has worked as a management consultant\, product development leader\, and strategist. In 2013\, he served on a White House initiative to promote trusted digital identities\, where he led government investments in innovative technologies on strong authentication\, identity verification\, and privacy preserving architectures. Phil holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Northwestern University and an MBA from Purdue University.
