DESCRIPTION:Join Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) and Opportunity Finance Network (OFN) on Thursday\, October 9\, 2025\, at 2 p.m. ET for a webinar on the effects of CDFI Fund Financial Assistance Awards on CDFIs ability to invest in communities and the subsequent effects of CDFIs’ financial products on borrowers’ wealth. \nThe webinar will highlight two recent research papers from LISC and OFN: \n• The first\, “CDFI Fund Finance Assistance Awards and OFN Member Loan Funds\,” examines how CDFI Fund Financial Assistance awards may affect the financial strength\, leverage ability\, and lending portfolios of OFN member loan funds. \n• The second\, “CDFI Impacts on Wealth and Assets: Lending\, Credit Enhancements\, and Strategies to Close the Racial Wealth and Resource Gap\,” examines the impact of CDFI investments on the wealth of borrowers. \nIn the webinar\, LISC and OFN researchers will briefly summarize the research studies and findings. Following that\, a roundtable of policy experts and practitioners will engage with the findings\, focusing on implications for policy and practice in the current environment. The webinar will highlight the full cascade of impact from CDFI funders to community loan funds to local borrowers.
